So, I am ALL about SOFT cookies. I know some people truly prefer crispy cookies, but I am just not one of those people. These M&M Christmas cookies are chewy, chocolate-y, and Christmas-y. I used a mix of regular red and green M&M’s AND peanut red and green M&M’s. It was fun to mix the two for some additional delicious flavors.
I also like the idea of only dirtying ONE bowl while baking. This recipe has that covered. First, cream together the sugar and butter. Then add the eggs. Then add the dry ingredients. And then add in the M&M’s!
One key part to keeping these cookies soft is to NOT over-bake them. I bake these cookies for exactly 8 minutes at 350 degrees, then I leave them on the cookie baking sheet for about 2 minutes, and then I put them on the cookie cooling rack.
These M&M Christmas cookies are perfect for snacks at a Christmas party, or for boxing up as a gift in a cute Christmas tin, or for leaving on a plate for Santa on Christmas Eve! Try not to eat them all yourself 😉
