This Muffuletta-Style Grilled Cheese Sandwich is uniquely delicious. I am rarely impressed with recipes from big companies, but I was actually very pleasantly surprised with this one. (This particular recipe is from Blue Apron). These Muffuletta-Style Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are super fast and easy to make, and they have a unique, New Orleans-style flavor that is cheesy, pickle-y, and slightly sweet. I would recommend serving them with a fresh, side salad.
To make this recipe, you simply chop all the ingredients and mix them in a bowl.
Then smear the mixture on your bread, along with 2 or 3 slices of Provolone cheese. Place the sandwiches, open-faced, in a skillet with a little butter or oil.
Cook the sandwiches on medium heat for about 7 minutes, and they’re done!
If you are looking for a quick dinner for tonight, this may be your ticket. You will probably have to take a quick trip to the grocery store because some of the ingredients in this sandwich are not common refrigerator items. It will be well worth it though!
